Customizing the Tables and Data from Google Analytics and AdWords

You can customize both the tables and the fields that you imported from Google Analytics and AdWords.
Follow the steps below.
1 – Find the appropriate dimension from the Google API: Google Analytics API / Google AdWords API
2 – Once you locate and understand the fields that need to be added,  open the GAnalytics.Fieldsand GAnalytics.Tables xml files for Google Analytics, or the AdWords.Fields and AdWords.Tablesxml files for Google AdWords. These files can usually be found in the following location:
  • %AppData% \Sisense\Prism\LocalRepository2.0\Resources\Google\Analytics
  • %AppData% \Sisense\Prism\LocalRepository2.0\Resources\Google\AdWords
3 – If you want to customize an existing field, or create a new field, open the “GAnalytics.Tables.xml” file or “AdWords.Tables.xml” file, and add a new table element that includes the new field.In the example below you first add the page load element (ga:pageLoadTime) from the Analytics API into the GAnalytics.Fields xml file.
<!-- M1. Speed -->
  <field id="ga:pageLoadTime" name="pageLoadTime" response_value="ga:pageLoadTime" type="System.Int32" size="" category="M1. Speed" class="measure"></field><i;i++)>
Once added the page load field can be included in a new table in the GAnalytics.Tables.xml by simply adding the new page load dimension along with other existing / new dimensions to  a new table
<field id=”ga:pageLoadTime”></field>
<table name="Page Load Sample Table" accumulate_by="ga:date">
    <fields>
      <field id="Site"></field>
      <field id="ga:pageLoadTime"></field>
      <field id="ga:date"></field>
      <field id="ga:bounces"></field>
      <field id="ga:entrances"></field>
      <field id="ga:exits"></field>
      <field id="ga:newVisits"></field>
      <field id="ga:pageviews"></field>
      <field id="ga:timeOnPage"></field>
      <field id="ga:timeOnSite"></field>
      <field id="ga:visitors"></field>
      <field id="ga:visits"></field>
    </fields>
  </table><i;i++)>
Once you save these changes and connect to Google Analytics, you will see the pageLoadTime in the ‘Page Load Sample Table’.
Note: At least one new table must be added to the Tables.xml file before field changes are made to any standard tables.
